You can file this for free. The official Visit Japan Web costs nothing at https://vjw-lp.digital.go.jp/en/. Arrivly is an independent service: we charge only for filing and checking it for you.

Who needs the VJW?

Travellers entering Japan who want to use the fast digital immigration and customs lanes. It is optional, but the paper forms are much slower.

When to submit

Any time before arrival (at least 6 hours recommended). If you submit too early the system may reject it, so we hold early orders and file them when the window opens.

What you'll need

  • Passport scan or passport details
  • Flight number and arrival date
  • Address in Japan
  • Customs declaration (goods, cash over ¥1M)
  • Accompanying family members

Tips before you file

  • Register at least 6 hours before landing so the QR codes are ready.
  • Immigration and customs each get their own QR code.
  • Families can be added under one account.

Yes. The official Visit Japan Web (VJW) is free on vjw-lp.digital.go.jp. Arrivly charges a service fee only if you want us to file it for you.
